SMRR 2011 Convention

On November 6, Santa Monicans for Renters’ Rights will hold its 27th Annual Membership Convention at the Church in Ocean Park starting at 4:00 PM.

We will elect a new Steering Committee to guide SMRR for the next two years. You must be present to vote and your 2011 dues renewal must be paid prior to the convention and no later than November 1, 2011. SMRR members who joined after August 8, 2011 are not eligible to vote.

If you would like to run for one of the 11 Steering Committee seats, please call 310 394-0848 or send an email to steeringcommittee@smrr.org for nomination papers and information. The rules are simple. You must be a resident of Santa Monica, have paid your 2011 dues, and have been a member of SMRR since 2009 or before. You will need supporting signatures of 10 current SMRR members on an official nominating petition, which must be returned no later than 6 PM, October 29, 2011.
